Special communicable disease control campaign continues
Varanasi. Under the special communicable disease control campaign, Dastak campaign was run from 16 to 31 October in the district. In this campaign, Asha and Anganwadi workers visited door to door in rural and urban areas and identified patients with symptoms of communicable diseases – dengue, malaria, meningitis etc. as well as tuberculosis (TB), leprosy, kala azar and filariasis. He said that maintain cleanliness around your houses, do not allow waterlogging, destroy waterlogging containers, use mosquito nets and wear clothes that cover the entire body. Apart from this, an area wise list of such houses where mosquitoes were found breeding inside the houses was prepared and made available to ANM by Asha workers.
