SSB jawan commits suicide

Bettiah: A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan posted at Senuwariya BOP in West Champaran district of Bihar committed suicide by shooting himself with his own official rifle. The reasons for suicide are not known at present.

A police officer said on Saturday that Rajkumar Chaudhary (29), posted in SSB 47th Battalion, committed suicide by shooting himself. The incident took place on Friday evening at 7:45 pm. It is said that the deceased was the son of late Raghunath Chaudhary, resident of Kamarbasti of Tezpur police station in Sonitpur district of Assam.

Rajkumar Choudhary committed suicide while in uniform by shooting himself in the neck with his INSAS rifle. An INSAS rifle had fallen near his body. The rifle has been confiscated. At the same time, the post-mortem of the dead soldier’s body was done at GMCH on Friday night itself. After post-mortem, the body has been handed over to SSB officials. It is being told that the family members of the deceased have been informed about this. The body is being sent to his ancestral home.
