Stolen money from donation box by entering temple, case registered

Bilaspur. Thieves entered the Sant Ravidas temple located in Mini Basti of Civil Line area through the skylight and crossed the donation box. The temple servant has complained about this to the Civil Line police station. The police have registered a crime on this and are investigating the matter. Ramprasad Lahare (73), living in Mini Basti of Civil Line, has complained of theft. He told that there is a community hall of Mehar society in Mini Basti. There is a temple of Saint Ravidas in the building itself. A donation box was kept in the temple. Devotees coming to the temple put money in the donation box.

The temple servant told that he had gone to village Darchura under Balodabazar district on February 16 to attend a family function. After attending the program he came home on Thursday evening. He went to the community hall at four in the evening. On going inside, they came to know that the donation box kept in the temple was missing. The thieves broke the skylight of the community building and made away with the donation box. There were about 20 thousand rupees in the donation box. On the complaint of the temple servant, the police have registered a crime and taken the matter into investigation.
