Student was drowned in the river 2 days ago, dead body found today
Rajnandgaon: A minor died by drowning in Ghumaria river of the district. The body of the youth has been recovered on Sunday. The accident happened while bathing. At present the body has been sent for postmortem. The matter is of Dongargaon police station area.
According to the information, Mithilesh Yadav (16), a resident of Dongargarh, had come to Bagdai village with his mother Champa Yadav during Teej. The student was studying in class 10th. Here on September 22, he had gone to take a bath in the Ghumaria river, but was washed away in the strong current. The people present on the spot informed the family members and the police.
After this the rescue operation was started. The body could not be found on Friday. After this, SDRF team was also called from Durg. Durg and Rajnandgaon SDRF team also conducted rescue operation on Saturday. Due to continuous rain for 2 days and strong flow of water, there was a possibility of the body being washed away, hence the team searched for the minor from Bagdai to Matia, Bhakuna, Bhakri, Rudgaon, Ratapayali, Medha village.
