Vijay coming out with a Christian identity is unacceptable: Fernandes Rattinaraja

Tamil Nadu: Christian Welfare Organization State President C. Fernandes Rathinraja said that they cannot accept Thaveka leader Vijay, who claims to be contesting the elections as a Christian.
The Christian Welfare Organization’s State Executive Committee met on Tuesday at a hotel on the Trichy-Karur Bypass Road. The meeting was chaired by the organization’s State President, Advocate C. Fernandes Rathinraja. Arun Nehru, Member of Parliament from the Perambalur Lok Sabha constituency, attended the event as a special guest and spoke.
Later, Fontanas Rathinraja told reporters: “A resolution has been passed that all Christians will support the alliance led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, which is providing good governance in Tamil Nadu, and will conduct field work in all 234 constituencies.”
We can only support those who speak for the Christian people and embrace everyone.
We cannot accept Vijay’s claim that he is now contesting the elections as a Christian, when until yesterday he valued his profession. He said, “The DMK is a party and government that provides various welfare schemes to everyone, including women and students, and suppresses religious riots. Therefore, we support the DMK-led alliance.”
The meeting was attended by AICC Archbishop Mohandas, Secretary Sam Jebadurai, Independent Church Administrator Daniel Vincent, Kanyakumari Deputy Secretary Baiji, and Reverend Benedict, State Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Bishops’ Council.
