Suicide on arrival of supply, 10th class student hanged herself

Balrampur. In Purshottampur of the district, a distressed student hanged herself at home after failing in two subjects in the 10th class examination. The student was crying continuously since the result came. The family members also counseled him, but he committed suicide at 9 in the morning. The incident took place in Ramanujganj police station area.

According to the information, in the examination results declared by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education on Friday, student Rekha Singh, resident of Purshottampur under Ramanujganj, had appeared supplementary in two subjects. Rekha Singh had secured 316 marks out of 600 marks. Despite scoring more than 50 percent marks, she failed in Mathematics and Science subjects.

The student’s father Manoj Singh told that when the 10th class results came, the daughter was in tension and started crying. She was the youngest among two sisters and one brother. On Saturday morning Rekha was with her elder sister. When the elder sister was busy cooking, Rekha Singh went to another room and hanged herself.
