Superintendent of Police’s review meeting: Emphasis on crime control, digital records and special operations
Raigarh. Today, Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel held a review meeting of all the gazetted police officers, police station and outpost in-charges of the district in the police control room. In the meeting, the Superintendent of Police laid special emphasis on digital record maintenance and crime control. The Superintendent of Police has created the cgpdigital.in website to digitally maintain the records of the police stations, on which information of all the police stations and outposts is being updated. He directed that all the officers should be present in the meeting with laptops or tabs. Following the instructions, all the officers attended the meeting with digital devices.
Review of serious crimes
During the meeting, the Superintendent of Police reviewed the progress of pending serious crimes, which included cases related to murder, robbery, dacoity, attempt to murder, rape, and POCSO Act. Information was taken from the station in-charges about the current status of these cases and they were given necessary instructions for quick resolution.
Success of Operation Muskaan
Discussing the success of “Operation Muskaan” conducted in the month of September, the Superintendent of Police said that 40 missing minors have been recovered under this campaign. The team of Thana Chakradharnagar and Jute Mill recovered the maximum number of minors, for which they were rewarded. Apart from this, 186 missing women and men were also successfully recovered, making a total of 226 missing people recovered.
Control over bike theft and burglaries
The Superintendent of Police directed to make a special plan to curb bike theft. He asked the Additional SP, Head Quarter and Cyber DSP to work on this. Along with this, the station in-charges were instructed to identify habitual criminals and summon them regularly and advise them to stay away from crimes.
Investigation of suspects and monitoring of their activities
The Superintendent of Police issued special instructions to control incidents of burglaries and thefts. Orders were also given to keep a watch on suspicious people and hawkers’ activities. During the meeting, instructions were given to dispose of NDPS cases, quick resolution of pending complaints, and early disposal of character verification files. He also ordered to speed up the action under the Excise Act.
Honor for excellent work
Inspector Ashirwad Rahatgaonkar, Thana Incharge Tamnar, who received the “Dakshata Medal” from Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for excellence in investigation, was honored by the Superintendent of Police by presenting the Efficiency Medal and Certificate. The Superintendent of Police congratulated him for his continued excellent work and inspired all the officers to work with such interest. Inspector Ashirwad Rahatgaonkar said that he has received this award for the prompt arrest of the accused in a blind murder case while posted in District Rajnandgaon.
