Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai took the necessary meeting through video conferencing this afternoon regarding the supply of petrol and diesel in all the districts including the state and maintaining the necessary peace in view of the strike of truck drivers in the district. He instructed the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all the districts to maintain smooth supply of essential commodities and maintain peace and law and order in the district. The Chief Minister said that the law and order situation in the district should be under control and no misleading information should be spread. Correct information should reach the public and action should be taken against those spreading rumours. Senior officials including Chief Secretary Mr. Abhitabh Jain were present in the state level meeting.
Collector Prabhat Malik, Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, Additional Collector Durgesh Verma, Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Rao, District Food Officer Ajay Yadav were present during the video conferencing in the CG Swan room of the Collectorate. Collector Malik informed that 79 petrol and diesel pumps are operating in the district. There is sufficient stock as of now and there is no shortage of any kind. In this regard, a control room has been set up so that common citizens do not face any kind of problem. Whose mobile number 94791-92399 has been issued. Contact can be made on this number. Collector Shri Malik said that revenue, food and police duties will be imposed in the control room. He has appealed to the common citizen not to keep extra stock of petrol and diesel with them. Apart from this, the Collector has given instructions to all the sub-divisional officers and Tehsildars and concerned departments to continue the smooth supply of essential commodities like vegetables, ration, milk, medicines and food items in the district. Superintendent of Police Shri Dharmendra Singh has given instructions for continuous patrolling and keeping an eye on the situation. The movement of petroleum, diesel and LPG service vehicles in the district should not be disrupted and continuous monitoring should be done.
