Surat: Fire broke out in 3 shops of textile market, fire brigade saved 17 lakh cash of the trader from burning

A massive fire broke out in the New Pashupati Market on Ring Road in Surat in the early hours today. After a fire broke out in one shop, the fire spread to other shops and three shops were gutted. After informing the fire department about the incident, 10 vehicles from three fire stations reached the spot.

Fire broke out in cloth market shops

A major fire broke out in a shop located in New Pashupati Market in Ring Road area of Surat. The fire department received a call about the blaze at a garment shop located in the basement of New Pashupati Market at around 6 am. Teams of three fire stations reached the spot to control it. Fire brigade personnel along with more than 10 fire tenders from Navsari Bazar, Ghanchi Street and Man Darwaja fire stations rushed to the spot. The fire department brought the fire under control after a lot of effort.

Fire spread in three shops one after the other

Three shops were gutted in the fire in the textile market. In which the first shop caught fire. Everything in that shop got burnt. Whereas in two other shops, a lot of goods were burnt to ashes due to fire. Apart from this, 4 other shops have suffered damage due to fire. However, after the hard work of the fire department, when it was controlled, 4 other shops were saved from the fire. The fire had taken a formidable form due to the clothes items including sarees being kept in the clothes shops.

Earning of 17 lakhs of traders was saved

After the incident, fire officer J.J. Israni said that on the information of fire in the market, more than 10 vehicle teams of three fire stations reached the spot. Where the fire in one shop spread to three other shops. Four to five other shops have been damaged. There was no loss of life and no one was injured in the fire that broke out in the closed market in the early hours. But the goods kept in the shop got burnt. Amidst all this, we were able to save the money of the traders in the market. Traders had cash in seven shops. Around 17 lakh cash was taken out from all the seven shops before they were gutted in the fire.
