Maruti Suzuki Fronx becomes the latest car offered by the manufacturer to be sold in the overseas market. The Fronx will now be shipped to South African market. Even though most features of the SUV remain the same, the only thing which is different is these export variant is the engine.
Unlike the regular version of the Suzuki Fronx that is sold in India, the export variant of the Suzuki Fronx gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This means that the SUV does not get a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The 1.5-litre engine that is present in the export version of Fronx is the same engine that is present on the Brezza and the Grand Vitara.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine is also present on the Ertiga as well as XL6 and produces 103hp of power. The maximum torque that is achieved by the engine is 138Nm. It is paired with 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. All the equipment on the car is same as that of Indian version.
I terms of design, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is same design as offered in the Indian version. The front grille is quite large while the headlights are split LED in shape. The SUV gets a sloping roofline along with cladding around the arches. The wheels of the car are 16-inches and dual-tone in colour. When it comes to colour, the SUV is offered in 10 colours including monotone as well as dual-tone paint scheme.
Important features of the car should include 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Head-Up display, wireless charging for gadgets, 360 degree camera, intelligent connected car features and much more.In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx gets ESP will hill hold assist, rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX and 6 airbags.
