Support for the party that listens to the demands of traders: A.M. Vikramaraja

Tamil Nadu: A.M. Vikramaraja, President of the Traders Association Federation, stated, “We will support the political party that listens to the demands of the traders.”
Ahead of the Traders Association conference scheduled to be held in Tiruvarur on May 5th, a meeting of the Tenkasi North District General Committee of the Traders Association was convened in Alangulam.
D.P.V. Vaikuntharaja, President of the Association’s Kanyakumari Zone, presided over the meeting. State Additional Secretary R.K. Kalidasan, D.P.V. Karunakararaja, C. Muthiah, and S.T. Janaravi—Vice-Chairperson of the Alangulam Town Panchayat—were also present on the occasion. Federation President A.M. Vikramaraja participated in the meeting and offered necessary guidance to the traders.
Speaking further to reporters, he said: “Those who are already operating shops at the Alangulam bus stand should be given priority in the allocation of new shops. A ban should be imposed on multinational companies entering from other states that are destroying the livelihoods of local traders.”
He added, “Neither the Central Government nor the State Government is responsible for the gas shortage. We hope that the situation will improve once the war concludes. The Traders Association, after consulting with its office bearers, will extend its support only to that political party which gives due consideration to the traders’ demands and commits to accepting those demands in writing for the upcoming Assembly elections.” Association administrators Muthuvel, S.K. Chandran, K.S. Kadaivel, M.M.V. Devadas, and many others participated in this meeting.
