Indore: Action taken against the supply of illegal firecrackers; raids conducted in 5 tehsils, warehouses demolished.

Madhya Pradesh: In a major crackdown, the Indore district administration on Wednesday sealed several warehouses and shops where firecrackers were being illegally sold and stored.
According to officials, the places raided were located in Sanwer, Hatod, Rau, Bicholi Hapsi, and Depalpur. They said that approximately 200 kg of gunpowder was recovered from Hatod and Depalpur.
During the operation, officials also demolished a warehouse in Sanwer. Police arrested one person and detained three others during the raids.
The action comes a day after a fire broke out in a large warehouse that was operating as an illegal firecracker shop.
The operation was launched on the instructions of District Collector Shivam Verma, and the operation was led by ADM Roshan Roy.
Hatod: Illegal Factory Operating in a Farmhouse
During the checking drive in Hatod, approximately 100 kg of gunpowder was found illegally stored. The warehouse was illegally constructed and was demolished by the authorities. Officials also seized two loading vehicles from the spot.
SDM Hatod Vinod Rathore said that the illegal firecracker factory was being run in a farmhouse to evade authorities. A cowshed had also been constructed to mislead officials, and eight cows were kept there. According to reports, the owner of the farmhouse, Rahul Agrawal, was arrested in this connection, and an FIR was registered. The shed was also demolished.
Rathore said that the farmhouse is located in Sonagir village of Hatod tehsil and is spread over an area of approximately 10,000 square feet.
The factory had been illegally manufacturing firecrackers for about 15 days. The others detained were Vijay (26), Sagar (34), and Ranjit.
