Hyderabad: Young doctor killed, another injured in collision with high-speed car

Hyderabad: A young doctor died and another was injured due to rash driving in Khanpur of Narsingi on the outskirts of the city on Saturday. The accident occurred when their car collided with a truck, police said. The deceased has been identified as Dr Jaswant of Bachupally and the injured has been identified as Dr Bhumika of LB Nagar.

Both worked at Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar. According to available information, the two were returning to Hyderabad after attending a function in Janawada. On reaching Khanpur, Jaswant, who was driving, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a truck. He suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. Bhumika, who was also seriously injured, was rushed to a hospital. Her condition is said to be critical. Narsingi police are investigating the matter.
