Ludhiana: Candle march demanding justice for the dead gangster

Ludhiana: Family members of gangster Sagar Newton, who died recently at PGI Chandigarh, today took out a candle march demanding justice for his death. While taking out the march, they raised slogans against the Punjab government and held the Sangrur jail authorities responsible for Sagar’s death. They demanded that the mysterious death of Sagar be investigated by the CBI or any other credible agency so that the truth behind his death can be revealed. They also said that if justice is not done by the Punjab Police or the state government, they will intensify their agitation. It is worth noting that on February 5, a large number of Sagar’s supporters had blocked the Ferozepur Road by placing his body on the road. The protest had lasted for more than an hour and traffic was affected.
