Hyderabad: Ban on flying drones in view of upcoming Miss World contest

Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming Miss World pageant, the Hyderabad city police have banned the flying of drones, para-gliders and other remote-controlled micro light aircraft at key locations in the city. The ban will continue till June 2. Drones and similar aerial vehicles have been banned within a three kilometre radius of designated locations such as Charminar, Lad Bazaar, Chowmahalla Palace and Khilwat – till May 13 (Tuesday), Telangana Police Integrated Command and Control Centre – May 18, Telangana State Secretariat and Tank Bund – May 18 and Raj Bhavan, Somajiguda – till June 2. Police warned that anyone violating the orders will be prosecuted.
