Tamil Nadu: Opposition to Pattukkottai Thaveka candidate

Tamil Nadu: On Sunday, the Vellalar Munnetra Kazhagam passed a resolution in which 32 villagers showed black flags in protest against the Pattukkottai Thaveka candidate.
Vijay released the list of Tamil Nadu Vettir Kazhagam (TNVL) candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on Sunday. Madan, Thanjavur South District Secretary, was announced for the Pattukkottai Assembly constituency in Thanjavur district. In 2012, he had a fight with a woman from the Vellalar community, which led to him being slandered by villagers. However, Madan, along with his associates, attacked the house of a village leader and started a fight, leading to the Thiruvonam police registering a case against Madan and some others.
In this situation, since Madan was announced as the district secretary, not a single Thaveka member has joined the 32 villages surrounding Pattukkottai, where the Vellalar community is predominantly concentrated. Not a single Thaveka branch has been started.
Furthermore, a resolution was passed within the Vellalar Munnetra Kazhagam to show Madan a black flag when he came to seek votes and to change the candidate, and a letter was sent to Vijay.
