T.T.V. Dhinakaran files complaint in Chennai, demands action in fake letter in AMMK’s name

Tamil Nadu: T.T.V. Dhinakaran, General Secretary of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) in Chennai, filed a complaint with the Guindy police station on Friday night. In the complaint, he alleged that a fake letter was created using his party’s name, claiming that the AMMK had extended support to an organization called Thaveka. Describing the matter as serious, Dhinakaran demanded immediate police action.
T.T.V. Dhinakaran stated that this fake letter was spread with the intention of damaging the party’s image and misleading the public. He clarified in his application to the police that the AMMK had not issued any such letter of support and that it was a completely false and fabricated document. He demanded that those behind this fraud be identified and legal action be taken against them.
After filing the complaint, Dinakaran told the media that such fake documents are an attempt to influence the political atmosphere and spread a false message among the public. He stated that the party has taken the matter seriously and will take further action as per the legal process.
On the same day, T.T.V. Dinakaran also met with the Governor at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai. This was his second meeting. After meeting with the Governor, he told reporters that they discussed ongoing political and administrative issues in the state. Although he did not share details of the meeting, he said that in a democratic system, it is essential to raise all important issues at the appropriate forum.
Following Dinakaran’s complaint and meeting with the Governor, the matter has become a topic of discussion in political circles. The possibility of an investigation into the circulation of the fake letter is also being raised. The police have stated that they have initiated a preliminary investigation after receiving the complaint.
This entire incident has also caused outrage among AMMK supporters. The party says that an attempt is being made to tarnish the organization’s image by creating a fake document, which will not be tolerated.
The police are now investigating who created the fake letter and for what purpose it was circulated. The matter is also likely to spark political reactions.
