Indore: 3 people, including a woman, arrested with MD drugs worth over ₹2 lakh

Madhya Pradesh: Police said on Saturday that the city crime branch arrested three accused, including a woman, with MD drugs during a special drive against drug trafficking in the city. Approximately 20.35 grams of MD drugs, worth approximately ₹2.04 lakh in the international market, were seized from them.
Additional DCP (Crime) Rajesh Dandotiya said that the operation was carried out near Scheme No. 134 area when police spotted a white car without a number plate. The accused tried to flee after seeing the police vehicle, but the crime branch team cordoned off the area and apprehended them. Upon searching the car, drugs were recovered.
The arrested accused have been identified as Irfan Shaikh, a resident of MIG Colony, Sarfaraz Khan of Khajrana, and a woman. During interrogation, they reportedly admitted to purchasing drugs at cheap prices and selling them at higher prices to drug addicts in the city for illegal gain.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and further legal action is underway. Crime Branch officials are trying to trace the source of the drugs and said more people will be arrested in connection with the case.
