Russian general killed in car bomb explosion

Moscow: A car bomb explosion has occurred in the Russian capital Moscow. Officials said that a Russian general was killed in the explosion. The explosion in the southern part of the city damaged a large number of vehicles. The driver of the car was seriously injured. The victim who died in the explosion has been identified as Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov. He is the chief of the General Staff Operational Training Department. However, officials said that the explosive material was planted under the vehicle. Russian officials suspect that the Ukrainian intelligence service was involved in the explosion. Lieutenant General Sarvarov is 56 years old. He was given the responsibility of the senior officer training department in 2016. He previously worked for Russian forces in Syria.
