Niharika Konidela promotes Rakasa starring Sangeeth Shobhan, Nayan Sarika
Actress and producer Niharika Konidela, who belongs to the Mega family, is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Rakasa’. This is the second film she is producing under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner after successful films like ‘Committee Kurrollu’. Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film stars Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. The film is set to hit the screens on April 3. Niharika, who is carrying all the promotional activities on her shoulders, recalled the early days of her career in a recent interview. Entering the industry as Nagababu’s daughter, she first started her career as an anchor on television and then made her debut on the silver screen as a heroine. She made her debut as a heroine with the film ‘Oka Manasu’ in 2016.
However, she revealed some interesting things about the short films she did before becoming a heroine. She said that she was supposed to do a short film called ‘Terms and Conditions’ with Vishwak Sen, who is currently a hero, but it stopped with one song. It was good for us that it was not completed. She said with a laugh that if social media had been around then, I don’t know if I would have done such short films. She also mentioned another short film she did with Akhil Akkineni. It was directed by S.S. Karthikeya, and when she showed that short film to director S.S. Rajamouli, she revealed that he said, “It would be better if it wasn’t released.” She said that it was her first short film and that she would do whatever came with her passion for acting at that time.
Talking about her introduction to Vishwak Sen, she said that the opportunity for that short film came through a common friend. At that time, we used to work freely and enjoy ourselves without any pressure. Looking at it now, it seems a bit cringeworthy, but it seemed a lot of fun at that time, she said. Niharika has high hopes for the movie ‘Rakasa’. The film unit is confident that this movie, which is made with fantasy, comedy and thrilling elements, will give a good experience in the theaters. Niharika hopes to register another success in her journey as a producer.
