Accused In Sexual Assault And Murder Case Of Seven Year Old Girl Commits Suicide

Amaravati: Kulvardhan, the accused in the sexual assault and murder of a seven-year-old girl in Madanapalle village of Annamayya district, committed suicide. Police reached the scene after his body was found floating in the Kanasanivaripalle pond on Wednesday.
Last Monday, when the school was closed, the girl was playing at home when Kulavardhan, who lived opposite, called her home. The girl has not been seen since then. The parents filed a complaint with the police, who registered a case and started an investigation.
A search was conducted at several places to find the girl and finally, on suspicion, a search was conducted at the accused’s house where the girl’s body was found in a water drum. While the accused was being taken away, the locals caught hold of the accused and beat him up severely. While the police were taking the accused to the station, they said that he had escaped from the police on Tuesday morning and that two police teams were conducting a search operation for him.
It was explained that he was found dead in a pond on Wednesday morning. It was revealed that there were previous cases against the accused. It was stated that all steps are being taken to eradicate marijuana in the district.
