Amritsar: Khalsa College team wins in boxing for the 15th consecutive year.

Punjab: Khalsa College Boxing Centre has won the Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-College Boxing Championship for a record 15th time. The competition was recently held at Khalsa College Senior Secondary School. Rajbir Sharma won the gold medal in the 50 kg category, while Avtar Singh secured the silver medal in the 55 kg event. Bhupinder Singh won the gold medal in the 60 kg event, and Yuvraj Abhay Pratap Singh Jaiswal bagged the bronze medal in the 65 kg category. Navdeep Singh won the gold medal in the 70 kg category, Harshit Singh in the 75 kg category, and Sukhbir Singh in the 80 kg event.
Adding to the college’s medal tally, Sahajpreet Singh won the gold medal in the 85 kg category, Rajdeep Singh in the 90 kg event, and Rajanpreet Singh in the 90+ kg event. Amarjit Sharma (55 kg) and Inderjit Singh (65 kg) also brought home gold medals – making it a record 10 gold medals in total. In the 2011 and 2012 championships as well, the college’s boxers displayed exceptional skill, winning 11 gold medals across 11 weight categories. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Honorary Secretary of the Khalsa College Governing Council, Principal Atam Singh Randhawa, and Sports Head Daljit Singh congratulated the boxing team on their remarkable achievement.
