The new feature- Time Travel was rolled by the company for Google Maps as well as for Google Earth. This will enable you to witness your city from 30-40 years ago. The only device you will need to do so is through your smartphone or PC.
How to use the feature
In order to use the Time Travel feature, open Google Maps or Google Earth. Select a location which you would like to explore. Go to the layers option and then select ‘time lapse’. You can check how a place looked some years ago and then compare it to today.
The Time Travel feature offers users to explore major cities like London, Berlin and Paris with images that date back to 1930.
Google Street View Update
Google’s Street View feature has also improved and the company has added over 280 billion images. Through the Street view users have access to 280 billion photos and that makes it easier to explore cities. It also offers a truly immersive experience of traveling around the globe.
