A Train Collided With A Truck At A Railway Crossing In Jharkhand

Ranchi: A major accident was averted in Jharkhand. A train collided with a truck at a railway crossing in Deoghar district. The incident took place at the Nawadi railway crossing. The gate at the level crossing was open while the Gonda-Asansol Express was passing through. The truck, which tried to pass through the gate, was stuck on the tracks due to traffic. However, at the same time, an oncoming train collided with the truck. The train stopped after hitting the truck. Two bikers who were next to the truck were seriously injured. Railway officials said that the truck could not pass due to heavy traffic at the railway crossing. The accident disrupted train traffic on the Jaisalmer-Asansol route for two hours. An inquiry has been launched into the incident, a representative of the Asansol Railway Division said. The train engine, which was damaged in the accident, has been removed from the spot.
