World World: Spanish olive oil manufacturer Dcoop is considering expanding its business in the US. The company, associated with Pompeian, the top olive oil brand in the US, said it could expand its bottling facilities and cultivation in the US. Dcoop had a turnover of 240 million euros in the US in 2024.
Spain produces 40% of global olive oil and exports about 1.8 lakh metric tonnes of oil to the US every year. The Trump administration has imposed a 10% tariff on European goods and has given a 90-day exemption before imposing a 25% duty.
