Copies were received just before the scheduled discussion: Punjab opposition leader

Punjab: Leader of Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Monday told reporters that the draft bill was handed over to opposition parties minutes before the scheduled discussion. “Serious legislative business is not done this way, especially on issues that deeply hurt the socio-religious fabric of Punjab,” he said. Bajwa said the Congress stands against sacrilege and wants to ensure that the bill is subjected to thorough, honest and complete legislative scrutiny.
