Madhya Pradesh: Stop stubble burning, CM Mohan Yadav tells collectors.

Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed all district collectors to strictly prevent stubble burning incidents and to prepare a stubble management plan.
They have also been asked to ensure that stubble and straw from the fields reach nearby large or small cow shelters. He was addressing commissioners and collectors via video conference on Saturday regarding the agricultural year. He said that work in the agricultural sector should be done in a mission mode.
He said that a “Kisan Rath” (farmer’s chariot) should be launched and farmers should be encouraged to cultivate black gram and groundnuts instead of summer moong dal.
Yadav said, “Encourage farmers to adopt natural farming. Efforts should be made to increase the area under oilseed and pulse production.”
Collectors have been asked to increase milk production in their districts. Every local body will ensure that fish is sold only in designated fish parlors and fish markets. Fish parlors will be established in urban areas, for which financial provisions will be made.
He directed the use of new financial resources such as Corporate Social Responsibility funds and Public-Private Partnerships for agricultural development.
