Vietnam’s Trade Minister meets executives of US companies

World World: Vietnam’s Trade Minister Nguyen Hong Dien met with executives of US companies during his visit to Washington. These meetings took place as part of trade and tariff talks with the Trump administration.

Through these meetings, Vietnam aims to show US President Donald Trump that it wants to enhance relations with the US and is ready to attract American investment to its country. Dien said that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the US is providing a convenient environment for US companies to invest and do business in Vietnam.

This week, Vietnam and the US started the second round of trade talks in Washington. Vietnam is looking for an agreement so that it can find a way to avoid 46% tariffs on US products.
