Hyderabad: Pregnant woman murdered in Jawaharnagar

Hyderabad: A pregnant woman was found murdered at a secluded spot in Kapra, Jawaharnagar on Friday. The police are yet to ascertain whether the assailants sexually assaulted her. The victim, who is yet to be identified and is said to be in her 30s, was found dead with head injuries amid bushes near Saket Towers by local residents who later informed the police. The Jawaharnagar police rushed to the spot and the clues team and dog squad also conducted investigations.

“It is suspected that she was attacked with a stone on her head leading to her death. We are investigating all possible angles, including whether she was sexually assaulted before being murdered,” the police said. They further added that local police stations have been alerted. CCTV footage of the surrounding areas and roads leading to the spot is being examined to trace the suspects. The police are also investigating whether she was murdered at the spot or somewhere else and the body was dumped there. The body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
