Punjab: Minister should ensure that all assembly constituencies get funds for works

Punjab: With just three months left for the Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad elections, all state ministers today asked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to ensure that adequate funds are allocated for each Assembly constituency in the coming days so that all pending development works can be started immediately. The suggestion was given after a meeting of the Punjab Council of Ministers here today to ensure political mileage for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the elections scheduled to be held before May 31. Amid reports of all Opposition parties gearing up their workers for the polls, the ministers felt they have to woo voters by resuming development works.
