Ranebennur: KHB Layout, where no development has taken place.

Karnataka: Residents of the first phase of the housing estate built by the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) on Magoda Road are facing hardships due to a lack of basic amenities.
Local residents are angry that the area remains undeveloped despite being included in the Amrut City Project by the local municipality. The sites were developed on 45 acres and 12 guntas of land under survey numbers 861, 864, and 865. Most of the sites have been allotted. However, the board is allegedly neglecting the development of the area.
Residents of the first phase of the settlement have sent numerous requests to the office bearers of the Welfare Development Association, elected representatives, and officials. However, locals complain that their requests are going unanswered.
Expressing their frustration, the office bearers said, “We have been fighting since 2022 for several amenities, including clean drinking water, proper roads, a sewage system, a government school, a park, and the construction of a temple. But we are not receiving these facilities.”
