Newly Built Ropeway Collapses During Trial Run in Bihar’s Rohtas

Patna: A new ropeway was built in Bihar. However, it collapsed during a trial run. The workers there narrowly escaped the accident. In the wake of this incident, allegations have been made about the quality of the ropeway construction. (Ropeway Collapses) A new ropeway has been built in Rohtas district of Bihar. The ropeway has been set up from Rohtas Block to Rohtas Garh Fort and Rohiteshwar Dham.
Meanwhile, the construction work has reached the final stage. With this, a trial run was conducted on Friday before the ropeway was launched. However, the ropeway collapsed after a cable got tangled. The four trolleys used for the trial run fell from a great height and were destroyed. However, there were no casualties as there was no one on them. The workers working there also narrowly escaped the accident.
On the other hand, criticism has been leveled at the newly constructed ropeway over the collapse. There have been many allegations about the quality of construction of the ropeway. An engineering officer said that an investigation will be conducted by a team of experts into the ropeway collapse. He said that the ropeway will not be made available to the public until the results of the trial run are completely satisfied.
