Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister Stalin’s discussion with banyan tree workers

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin spoke with workers at a textile company in Tirupur on Saturday.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin spoke at a campaign meeting in the Pandian Nagar area of Tirupur in the evening, expressing his support for the DMK and alliance candidates contesting the elections in Tirupur district. He had come to Tirupur for this purpose and, while driving past the SAP Theatre on Avinashi Road in Tirupur on Saturday morning, he suddenly stopped by a private textile company. The Chief Minister’s surprise visit moved the workers there.
The Chief Minister then spoke with the women workers there, asking them if they were receiving their monthly ₹1,000 allowance and if the school trip scheme was effective.
He then addressed the gathering and said: When the DMK government is re-elected, the women’s entitlement amount will be increased to ₹2,000, and gift tokens worth ₹8,000 will be given, which they can use to purchase essential items. He also mentioned other points from the election manifesto and said that all their demands would be met in the next government.
At that time, the workers present presented some demands related to their area and livelihood to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister, who listened attentively to the workers’ demands, assured them that all their demands would be met on a priority basis once the elections were over and the government was formed again.
K. Selvaraj, candidate for the Palladam constituency, and N. Dineshkumar, candidate for the Tiruppur South constituency, were present at the meeting.
