Tamil Nadu CM’s statement on double-digit growth, claims success of ‘Dravidian model’
Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, speaking about the state’s economic progress, said that due to the hard work of the people and the government’s policies, Tamil Nadu has consistently achieved double-digit economic growth, and this achievement will continue. He expressed confidence that with public support, the state will reach even greater heights.
According to data from the National Statistical Institute, Tamil Nadu’s economic growth rate was recorded at 11.19 percent in the financial year 2024-25, while it will be 10.83 percent in 2025-26. The state government considers the two consecutive years of double-digit growth a major achievement.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, posting on his social media platform ‘X’, said that Tamil Nadu is an achievement and the ‘Dravidian model’ is proving to be a unique governance model. He said that the government has laid a strong foundation in the last three years, and now the state has recorded double-digit growth for two consecutive years.
He thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for their support and hard work and said this was just the beginning. The Chief Minister also stated that Tamil Nadu’s goal is not to compete with any other state, but to become a leading state in South Asia.
State Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu also reacted to this achievement, saying that registering double-digit growth for the second consecutive year is a message to the entire country. He stated that Chief Minister Stalin’s vision and strong leadership are making Tamil Nadu a major industrial and economic hub. The minister also stated that under the ‘Dravidian Model 2.0’, the state will see even greater development in the future.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also made headlines while vacationing in Kodaikanal with his family. He strolled around, met locals and tourists, took selfies, and walked for about 2 kilometers. He later cycled in the Star Lake area, much to the excitement of the tourists.
Following this visit, the Chief Minister met with Ministers I. Periyasamy and A. Chakravarthy, during which administrative and development issues were discussed.
The state government claims that Tamil Nadu is steadily progressing economically due to strong policy, improved infrastructure, and planned development.
