Tamil Nadu government announces state honors for Vijayakanth’s funeral

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday announced full state honors for the funeral of DMDK founder-leader Vijayakanth.

In his condolence message, Stalin expressed shock and grief over Vijayakanth’s death and described him as an achiever; In public life both as an actor and a leader.

Stalin announced that as a tribute, the government would give full state honors to Vijayakanth’s funeral.

The Chief Minister said the death of the DMDK founder was a big loss for Tamil Nadu and the cinema world and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members and party workers.
