Jalandhar: Fraud case registered against banker

Phagwara: On the complaint of Indusind Bank’s Phagwara branch manager Gurpreet Singh Sagoo, the city police have registered a case against bank employee Suraj Kumar, a resident of Khalwara Gate, Phagwara and his other unidentified accomplice for duping Kulwinder Singh, a resident of village Athauli, of about Rs 9 lakh. No arrest has been made so far. Two arrested for snatching cash Phagwara: Police have arrested two miscreants for snatching cash. The accused are residents of village Bajwa Kalan. Sukhwant Singh of village Jagatpur Sohal complained to the police that on the evening of December 31, he was returning home when the accused stopped him, assaulted him and snatched the cash. Case registered against 16 for assault Phagwara: Police have registered a case against 16 persons for attacking a villager. Tanpreet Singh of Hoshiarpur district told the police that the accused and his two relatives attacked him in a playground on November 7, seriously injuring him and threatening him.
