Teacher arrived for election duty drunk, caught by SDM

Jashpur: After cases of teachers coming to school drunk every day in Bagicha development block, now teachers have started coming to the officers’ training school also drunk. Under the influence of alcohol, they have started dancing in front of the officers. To curb such cases, the District Education Officer had taken affidavits from all the teachers as soon as the school opened, in which the teachers had sworn not to teach under the influence of alcohol. But the affidavit is not being followed in the schools of Bagicha development block.

Let us tell you that the responsibility of conducting the assembly elections is on the shoulders of the teachers and teachers are being given training for all the polling stations. The training was going on in the presence of Garden Sub-Divisional Officer and Development Block Education Officer Maniram Yadav. Meanwhile, two teachers started misbehaving during training under the influence of alcohol. When the officer’s eyes fell on those drunken teachers, both the teachers started quarreling with the officer. Seeing the behavior of both the teachers, when SDM Garden visited them, both were found under the influence of alcohol.
