Teaser of ’12th Fail’ film on UPSC students released
Mumbai (IANS). Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra on Thursday shared a glimpse of Vikrant Massey starrer upcoming film ’12th Fail’, where the actor will be seen restarting his education and career.
’12th Fail’ is based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling novel about the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. The film is inspired by the true stories of lakhs of students who attempt the UPSC, the toughest competitive exam in the world.
Shot at real locations with real students, ’12th Fail’ gives a glimpse into the lives of UPSC students, their grit, honesty, determination and friendship.
Talking about the teaser, Chopra said: “The film is a tribute to the honest officers protecting our Constitution and the countless students who aspire to follow in their footsteps. If the film also inspires a few individuals to strive for integrity and excellence If it inspires me to try, I will consider it a success.”
The film is a tribute to all those who see failure as an opportunity to restart and features a high-octane anthem titled ‘Restart’ composed by Shantanu Moitra. It has two versions, one written by Swanand Kirkire and the other by Raftaar. Both the songs give a new expression to today’s generation of never give up.
’12th Fail’ is set to release worldwide on October 27 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
