Teaser of Japanese game show ‘Takeshi Castle’ released
Mumbai : The teaser of the iconic Japanese game show ‘Takeshi Castle’ has been released. Popular YouTuber Bhuvan Bam will be seen doing commentary in this show. Till now Javed Jaffrey was seen in it.
In the trailer, Bhuvan Bam brings a whole new spirit to his commentary and it is much more than Javed Jaffrey’s famous commentary.
Bhuvan Bam’s dubbing, full of Indian references, is incredibly self-aware as he lends it to the voice and personality of his BB Ki Vines character Titu Mama.
He relives childhood memories after being kidnapped from his shoe store at gunpoint by Yakuza Titu Mama and is very familiar with all the meme trends on social media, to which he makes plenty of references.
The all-new version of the show retains all the quirks and hilarious attitude of the 80s, including goofy getups, fun challenges.
Elaborating on his role Bhuvan Bam said, ‘Takeshi Castle’ has been an integral part of my formative years and Javed Sir’s comment remains a key memory that still comes to my mind whenever I think of it. So that excites me.”
He said, “When I got the opportunity to be a part of its reboot, my excitement was limitless. While I previewed the new version, which can be glimpsed in the trailer, I decided that BB Ki Vines’ Titu Mama, with his desi accent, uncle-next-door personality and unique perspective, would be perfect to provide the commentary. Will be.”
The new version of ‘Takeshi Castle’ will premiere exclusively on Prime Video with eight episodes, and will stream in India from November 2, 2023.
