Ayodhya: Technical experts from IIT-Hyderabad and CBRI Roorkee will lend their help in selecting the final idol of Ram Lalla, which will later be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple in Ayodhya.
These idols will be finalized this month with the consent of Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati of Kashi, famous scholar Ganeshwar Dravid of Varanasi and some prominent saints of India. According to temple sources, the reports of technical experts from IIT-Hyderabad and CBRI, Roorkee will form the basis of selection of the final idols.
Technical experts will determine which stone has a longer useful life and how many years it will retain its shine. Since there would be daily worship of the idol with brass and sandalwood coating, reports would suggest spots or marks on the idol and which of the three idols would become more attractive when sunlight would fall on it.
