Telangana K. Paid emotional tribute to Jaishankar
Hyderabad (IANS). Telangana on Sunday appointed Professor K. Paid heartfelt tributes to Jaishankar on his birth anniversary.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, state ministers and leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) recalled the important role played by the former vice-chancellor of Kakatiya University in the Telangana movement.
Chief Minister KCR, ministers and legislators paid floral tributes to Jaishankar at the assembly hall. Members of Parliament, other public representatives and officials paid tributes to the late leader in various programs organized across the state.
KCR said that Professor Jaishankar, who fought till his last breath for the state of Telangana, will always be remembered. The CM recalled the sacrifices and services of Jaishankar for the achievement of Telangana statehood. The CM said that the Telangana government is fulfilling the aspirations of Jaishankar who had advocated the establishment of a separate Telangana state for the welfare and equality of all sections.
The Chief Minister said that Telangana State has emerged as a role model for the country by achieving several milestones in the fields of irrigation, agriculture, education and healthcare in a span of nine years. The state is ahead in agriculture and IT sector as well as in social development. Today the world is looking towards Telangana.
KCR said the Telangana state would move forward with the aim of achieving ‘Golden Telangana’ and development of all sections as dreamed by Jaishankar. BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid tributes to Jaishankar at a function organized at the BRS headquarters, Telangana Bhawan.
