Telangana: The tenth year of Telangana formation was celebrated on a grand scale in Old Karimnagar
Telangana: The decadal celebrations of Telangana state formation were celebrated on a grand scale in the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Sunday. People’s representatives, political leaders, collectors, police officials and others from all sections of the society celebrated the event by hoisting the tricolour.
Cultural programmes organised on the occasion of the decadal celebrations entertained the audience. Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao attended the function held at the municipal corporation office.
Collector Pamela Satpathy hoisted the national flag while attending the function held at the collector’s office. Other collectors, including Muzammil Khan (Peddapalli), Anurag Jayanthi (Rajanna-Sircilla) and Yashmin Basha (Jagatial), hoisted the tricolour at their respective Integrated District Office Complexes (IDOC).
Karimnagar Police Commissioner Abhishek Mohanty hoisted the national flag at the Commissioner’s Office Complex, while Ramagundam CP M Srinivasulu hoisted the tricolour at Godavarikhani. Policy superintendents, including Akhil Mahajan (Rajanna-Sircilla) and Sanpreet Singh (Jagatial), hoisted the national flag at their respective offices.
