Terrorist’s body found in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district
Jammu (IANS). The Army said on Friday that the body of a terrorist has been found in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.
Defense Ministry spokesperson, Lt. Col. Sunil Bartwal said, “The Indian Army along with the J&K Police is conducting operations in the forested areas of Reasi district.
“Meanwhile, Army and JKP deployed on the high ridge lines in the jungle area near Dhakikot noticed suspicious movement of unknown persons on the night of 17th August.
When a suspect approached the deployment site and was challenged, he attempted to flee. Army soldiers took position to stop him.
“The terrorist was seen stumbling and falling from a cliff in a dense forest. After the search was called off for the night due to bad weather and dense forest area, the party proceeded to investigate further.
“During a search operation with J&K Police and Village Defense Committee members in the morning, a body of a suspected foreign terrorist was found in the forest area.
“War material has also been recovered from the terrorist. Operation is in progress”.
