Thalapathy Vijay feels ‘bad’ for the producer of Jana Nayagan, and called Shah Rukh Khan a ‘role model’.

Mumbai: Thalapathy Vijay is reportedly upset that ‘Jana Nayakan’ is facing difficulties due to political reasons. In an interview with NDTV, the Tamil superstar said he feels bad for his producer because the project is suffering due to his entry into politics.
The actor-turned-politician anticipated difficulties after entering politics and was mentally prepared for the personal impact, but he is saddened by the trouble his producer is facing. After all, ‘Jana Nayakan’ has a budget of approximately ₹350 crore, with Vijay’s fee alone amounting to ₹250 crore. The ‘Bigil’ and ‘Mersal’ star said that his entry into politics has meant a “permanent distance” from films.
Interestingly, Vijay, who aspires to become the Chief Minister, praised Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, calling him his role model. He lauded SRK’s candor and mentioned his close relationship with him. A viral conversation between the two during the shooting of ‘Jawan’ in Chennai had garnered significant attention.
‘Jana Nayakan’ was planned for a Pongal release on January 9 and was touted as Vijay’s last film before his full-fledged entry into politics. The actor recently launched his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK). The film ran into trouble when the CBFC withheld certification, stating that some scenes could hurt religious sentiments.
