The absconding accused in the case of weapon theft has been arrested

Pakke Kessang police nabbed the most wanted accused in Seijosa Police Station Arm Act case from Assam’s Sonitpur district.

The accused Md Nurjamal Haque alias Rahul, who allegedly had received the prohibited firearms stolen from the 3rd IRBn’s BHQ’s central KOTE last month, was nabbed from a rent house in Air force colony in Solonibari by a team of police headed by SDPO Sashi Dore on 16 November, Pakke Kessang SP Tasi Darang said.

“With the arrest of the absconding accused, all the accused mentioned in the FIR have been arrested,” the SP said.

Earlier, three persons, including two IRBn personnel were arrested in connection with the same case, he said.

Further investigation is underway, the SP said.
