Raipur. Asking money for cigarettes and tea from bullies in the capital proved costly for a shopkeeper. The accused dragged the shopkeeper on the road, beat him to death and also tried to kidnap him. Seeing the incident, when the people of the locality reached the spot, the accused fled in a bike. The incident is of Saraswati Nagar police station area.
According to the information, this incident happened on Monday night. The name of the victim shopkeeper is Adi Rajput. According to the complaint given in the police station, Adi Rajput has a tea and snacks shop in Bhawani Nagar. In the night accused Pawan Sahu, Shibu, Nishant, Sahu, Alok Sahu, and other youths came to the shop. After taking tea and cigarettes, they started leaving without paying. On this shopkeeper Adi Rajput asked for money for the goods. On this, the accused youth got angry and started beating Adi Rajput after taking him out of the shop saying that you will ask for money from us. During the fight, the accused also tried to kidnap the victim by making her sit in his car. Not only this, the accused picked up the victim and threw him on the ground. When some youths of the locality reached the spot after seeing the fight, the accused fled leaving the victim on the road.
