The affected family will get six marla land to build a house

Public hearing of Mahal Sanaura in Gram Panchayat Sanaura, Tehsildar Kangra Mohit Ratan and Panchayat head Sunita Devi and public hearing of Mahal Sahaura in Gram Panchayat Sahaura, Naib Tehsildar Shahpur Rajinder Singh Pathania and hearing of Mahal Kiori in Gram Panchayat Rachhiyalu of Shahpur Assembly constituency, SDM Kartar Chand and Panchayat. It was held under the chairmanship of Pradhan Sanju Kumari. ADM Harish Gajju inspected the public hearing programs in all three Panchayats. In this public hearing, officials told that as per the report, provision of six marlas of land has been made to build houses for the displaced families.

Apart from this, there is a provision of Rs 1.5 lakh under Indira Awas Yojana for building a house, Rs 5 lakh for the affected families, Rs 3,000 per month as maintenance allowance, Rs 50,000 for transport to carry goods back and forth, cow shed. And provisions of Rs 25-25 thousand each for building a shop, relocation allowance of Rs 50 thousand to each affected family and other types of provisions have been made in this report. Also told the people how much of their land is coming under the control of the airport. Along with this, information was also given about the fruit plants and timber on that land. He told the people that the government will also give you compensation for land, building, cowshed and trees. District administrative officers asked the people to write down whatever demands and objections they have. On this, written demand letters were given to the district administration by the villagers of Gram Panchayat Rachhiyalu and Sanaura.

The villagers said that the Khasra numbers which have been left out should also be made public by publishing a gazette, and for those houses which are being saved from the expansion, provision should also be made for drainage of water along the road. In the public hearing, the villagers listened to the officials very peacefully and also gave their demands to them in written form. Also, the report prepared by the government regarding their lands and buildings was shown to the villagers one by one so that if any mistake was found, it could be corrected. The villagers of Sanaura talked about building a tourist village within one kilometer and the people of Rachhiyalu talked about building a tourist village in Kiyodian village. The villagers have also demanded that arrangements for roads, electricity, water and other basic facilities will have to be made at the place where the affected people will be settled. Besides, a maintenance allowance of Rs 10,000 and a government job should be given to the family member. The villagers of Sanora have demanded from the government that one kanal of land should be given to a family for rehabilitation but as per the definition of family, land should be given to the adult member of each family. Same compensation for one project, Rs 1.5 lakh for building a house is not acceptable, just as the government had announced compensation for the construction of houses for the disaster affected people, in the same way, at least Rs 12 lakh should be given.
