Light rain likely in Tamil Nadu till March 5

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that light rain is likely in Tamil Nadu until March 5.
The Center issued a press release on Friday: Due to a low pressure area over South India, isolated light rain is likely in the Western Ghats districts from Saturday (February 28) to March 5. The rest of Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry and Karaikal, is expected to experience northerly weather.
Chennai and its surrounding areas will experience partly cloudy skies on Saturday. Light fog may be observed at isolated places in the early morning.
Fog: Light fog may be observed at isolated places in coastal Tamil Nadu on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Rainfall: In Tamil Nadu, the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Friday was recorded in Ayikudi area of Tenkasi district, where 70 mm of rain was recorded. Gundaru Dam (Tenkasi), Upasi (Coimbatore), Valparai (Coimbatore), Sengottai (Tenkasi), Ramanathi Dam Area (Tenkasi) – 40 mm each, Tenkasi (Tenkasi), Mambazhathuraiyar (Kaniyakumari), Thondamuthur (Coimbatore), Palamore (Kaniyakumari) – 30 mm each, Koundhapadi (Erodu), Surulakodu (Kaniyakumari), Kangeyam (Thiruppur), Kunderipallam (Erodu) – 20 mm each.
Temperature Conditions: Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in some areas of Tamil Nadu.
