The body was thrown into the pond to hide the evidence, Abhanpur murder case revealed
Raipur. The murder of the dead body found in the pond located in village Girola under Abhanpur area has been exposed. Actually, recently the police had received information about the dead body of a person in the water in Narva pond. On receiving the information, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Abhanpur police station went to the said place and took the body out of the pond and found that the body had injuries caused by sharp weapons on various parts of the body.
There were marks. On the basis of nearby enquiry, the body was identified as Girdhari Ratre, father Nohar Ratre, aged 22 years, resident of village Girola, police station Abhanpur Raipur and the missing report of the deceased was lodged by his father Nohar Ratre on 05.12.23 in police station Abhanpur. . Girdhari Ratre was killed by some unknown accused by injuring his body with a sharp object and with the intention of hiding the evidence, the body was thrown into the pond.
The joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Abhanpur Police Station started the search for the unknown accused by interrogating the deceased’s father and other people of the village in detail regarding the incident. In relation to the unknown accused, efforts were being made to identify the unknown accused by doing technical analysis and identifying informers as well as by interrogating other associates and relatives of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the team members received information that the deceased was last seen with Hemlal Sahu and Pramod Yadav, residents of village Girola, and the deceased Girdhari Ratre was also in a love affair with Hemlal Sahu’s sister. On which when the team members located Hemlal Sahu and Pramod Yadav, caught them and interrogated them, both of them changed their statements repeatedly and said that they were not involved in the crime in any way and were continuously misleading the team members, that On strict interrogation based on the evidence obtained, both of them could not stand their lies and ultimately they confessed to killing Girdhari Ratre by stabbing him with a knife. Deceased Girdhari Ratre had a love affair with the sister of accused Hemlal Sahu due to which accused Hemlal Sahu was angry at deceased Girdhari Ratre.
Regarding this matter, accused Hemlal Sahu, along with his associate Pramod Yadav, killed Girdhari Ratre by stabbing him with a knife on 04.12.2023 and threw the body in the pond water with the intention of hiding the evidence.
Both the accused were arrested and the knife used in the murder was seized from their possession. Crime number 530/23 section 302, 201 Bhadvi was registered against the accused in Abhanpur police station. The crime was registered and action was taken.
