The criminal who stole from the temple was given 7 months jail and a fine of Rs 500
Jashpur. The accused Sameer Toppo, resident of Budhadand, who was found guilty in the incident of thieves stealing Chadhotri money from the famous Durga temple of Jashpur district, was sentenced in the court. This case pertains to Durga temple located on Pathalgaon Ambikapur Road.
Let us tell you that, when Pathalgaon Durga Temple administrator Prayag Raj Aggarwal opened the doors of the temple on March 1, he saw that the verandah’s mesh had been cut and Rs 25,000 had also gone missing from the donation box. The police was informed about the theft incident.
When the police investigated and interrogated the case, the accused Sameer Toppo resident Budhadand confessed to the crime. After judicial action, the accused was sentenced to 7 months and 16 days imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs 500-500.
